SPIRAL DRIVE, the visionary project of German-Austrian multi-instrumentalist and music producer Raphaël Neikes, has evolved into one of Europe’s most dynamic and boundary-pushing psychedelic acts.

Their 2022 full-length Visions in Bloom, anchored by the nearly ten-million-streamed single Space Train, cemented their reputation within the international psychedelic scene, gaining fans across the US, UK and Australia. The album fuses psychedelic rock, alternative, psych-pop, grunge and indie into a dazzling, cohesive whole, earning comparisons to artists like Tame Impala, King Gizzard, Queens of the Stone Age, MGMT and Pink Floyd, while remaining defiantly outside any one genre.

Following extensive touring across Europe and South Africa, SPIRAL DRIVE has significantly expanded its international live presence. 2025 saw their first UK tour, followed by multiple UK runs in 2026, including appearances at The Great Escape and Manchester Psych Fest, as well as support slots with Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and extensive touring across the UK and Europe.

In 2025, their bold take on The Beatles’ Tomorrow Never Knows, featuring original artwork by Klaus Voormann, earned acclaim across alternative press and beyond their core fanbase.

2026 sees the release of REISE, a full motorik-Krautrock journey created and produced with Lord Fascinator during an intense five-day session in Mannheim. The album explores five modes of transport, from AUTO and RAD to ZUG, FLUG and RAUM, with one chapter released each month until October. Already available on vinyl through Stone Free Records, REISE has received strong international press and been described as an immersive psychedelic travel soundtrack.

With REISE nearing completion, Neikes is now turning focus back to the next major SPIRAL DRIVE studio album, while the band continues to build its presence across the UK and Europe and work towards breaking into the US market.
